ChooseYourCharity is an informational website for donor choice and education on nonprofit accountability and ethical practices in charitable solicitation. Donors may explore giving options and make charitable donations directly to profiled nonprofits in a variety of ways, including on-line, with all donations directly given to the charity of choice. Through our partnership with NYCharities.org the most recent available IRS 990 financial information for profiled agencies is currently available.
It is an internet-based data center supported by Charitable Venture Foundation, which includes profiles of all NYCON charitable nonprofit members and highlight those that have signed the accountability pledge to abide by ethical standards in charitable fundraising that provide the utmost respect for donor interest and privacy. This pledge was developed under the NYCON Donor Choice & Accountability Project.
