Running any nonprofit is tough now-a-days. For executives of arts and cultural organizations, there are challenges that are common to most nonprofits as well unique to the field. These challenges with unique twists can include where there are shared ED-Artistic Director positions; founder succession planning either at the board or staff level where he or she who is the creative source and inspiration for the organization; managing the move from independent contractors, like teaching artists, to employees; competing for audiences and visitors in an era of collaborative expectations ; board “give and get” policies; and the list goes on.
In this 90-minute webinar led by a seasoned nonprofit CEO, we will be scanning some of the critical challenges facing arts and cultural executives and shedding some light on practical solutions and next steps.
